Yellow Dodder update
editInteresting, I had not seen the red variant of this species. I think I will update the entry with a photograph showing the orange/yellow variant strangling cianosis. NotSoOldHippy (talk) 19:52, 8 August 2010 (UTC)

editI fairly recently added an image to commons of Dodder parasitising gorse (Ulex europaeus).
In my obviously biased view it's shows more clearly the parasite and the host, but I'll leave someone else to decide if it should be added to the article. Mikenorton (talk) 16:38, 30 December 2023 (UTC)

editJust in case anyone's interested the common names for C.epithymum also include: common dodder, flax dodder, thyme dodder, alfalfa dodder, clover dodder, scald weed, beggar weed, lady's laces, fireweed, Devil's guts, Devil's thread, Devil's hair, Devil's net, witches' shoelaces, love vine, hell bind, hair weed, strangle weed, ail weed, maiden's hair and small dodder.
