Cuquenan Falls is located entirely in Venezuela, not in Guyana. There are several variants of the spelling depending on the native dialect used. "Kukenaam" or "Kukenaan" appear to be most common (the "N" and "M" at the end seem to be pronounced the same way in both cases, more like a mix of both letters rather than a defined sound). Further, Kukenaam Tepui is not located on the triple border of Venezuela, Guyana and Brazil, it is located entirely within Venezuela as well. Measurements of the height of the falls are extremely vague. The falls is most commonly cited as falling 2000 feet. There is no indication that this is a measurement of just the uninterupted free-fall or whether it takes into account cascades which may or may not occur below the main drop. What is clear is that it is not possible to currently state with affirmation exactly where Kukenaam Falls lies within the list of the tallest waterfalls on the planet. Based on what we know right now, it can fall no higher than 50th place on the list of tallest waterfalls (based on the total drop).
