Alias

{{Spoiler about|Alias (TV series)}} The TV show Alias, for much of its work, revolves around a (fictional) historic character Milo Giacomo Rambaldi, who is a figure clearly based on da Vinci. It seems likely (although this is my own speculation) that the show's creators originally intended to use da Vinci, but decided to make a new character, most likely to free themselves from any pretense of historical accuracy. It may also be to allow them to put more Nostradamus-like elements into Rambaldi's character.

Should this be included? Piquan 01:11, 12 October 2005 (UTC) {{endspoiler}}

Yes, very yes.

It should be made explicit in the article Milo Giacomo Rambaldi that Rambaldi's based on Leonardo before he makes this list. I'm in no doubt that he is, but if there's no mention of Leonardo in his article a reader who has followed the link from here may think that the Leonardo connection is just conjecture on the part of the user who added him to the list. Expand to cover all 'cultural depictions'?

Cultural depictions of Joan of Arc is a featured list. Might it be a good idea to reshape this article so that it covers wider 'cultural depictions' - Ingres's painting of Leonardo's death for instance, and the hundreds of statues of Leonardo there must be dotted around the Western world? (I can think of at least two off the top of my head, in the Uffizi and on the facade of the Royal Academy.) HAM   16:49, 2 April 2006 (UTC)

Actually I've started a little campaign to standardize cultural lists for the core biographies figures (I'm the editor who made Cultural depictions of Joan of Arc). A few days ago I noticed that all the popular culture information had been deleted from Alexander the Great. So I created Cultural depictions of Alexander the Great and am encouraging similar efforts for other important biographies. It's good to see there's already a start here. I've gone ahead and done the renaming since the editors here suggested it a while ago. Durova 18:04, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
I have gone ahead, have rewritten the intro and added more cultural depictions in line with change.
