When you start an article and two of the links point to where you can buy a product, it looks pretty bad. For serious articles, it is usually better to first write them in user space (where they are typically not subject to deletion) until they are strong enough to stand on their own, then create the article.Dennis Brown (talk) 00:18, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
Merge somewhere? edit
There was consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cultural linguistics that this article should not be deleted, but a strong suggestion that it should be merged somewhere. Two editors suggested that the page be merged to Ethnolinguistics. The terms ethnolinguistics and cultural linguistics are sometimes used interchangeably, but those interchangeable senses is not the same as Palmer's (1996) definition. I suggested that Linguistic anthropology would be a better destination. Cognitive linguistics or Sociolinguistics are additional possibilities.
Given the relative newness of the subfield and the current state of the literature, the topic seems best treated as a section of one of these pages. Please comment on where (or whether) the information could best be merged. Cnilep (talk) 00:16, 17 April 2011 (UTC)
