Janus named after Doors? edit
A statement in this article:
"just as Janus’s name comes from the Latin word for door, ianua.[8][9][10]"
Contradicts a statement in the article on Janus:
"He has under his tutelage the stepping in and out of the door of homes,[29] the ianua, which took its name from him,[30] and not vice versa.[31]"
I am no Roman scholar so I have no idea which is true, but the three references in this article are Etruscan history books, so might not be as well researched as a Roman history book [30] which is: F. Altheim History of Roman Religion London 1938 p. 194; V. Basanoff, Les dieux des Romains (Paris, 1942), p. 18. Argos vs. Argus edit
Twice the text mentions Argos; while the linked article is to the city of Argos, he second use of Argos makes it clear that it refers to Argus Ponoptes. Mastakos (talk) 01:33, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
