Proposed merge of Cocuy with Cucui edit

Based on their references and content, these appear to simply be different spellings of the same drink, and should thus be merged. signed, Rosguill talk 22:07, 8 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

  • Support merging Cucui with Cocuy, as the latter is more commonly used. Care should be taken not to mistake Cucuí with Cucui, since the former is a Brazilian district, as it can be seen in the article. --NoonIcarus (talk) 23:21, 14 July 2023 (UTC)Reply
  • Support. Yes, it seems to be spelled differently in the Dutch language. Kallmemel, creator of Cucui, also has edited nl:Cucui. That article calls it "a typical Aruban liqueur of Indian origin". They speak Dutch in Aruba, an island that is part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Whereas the Cocuy article is based out of Venezuela where they speak Spanish, and the Spanish article is es:Licor de cocuy. But note, the liqueur is based on Agave cocui [es], which is yet another spelling variant. Is there an English spelling for this? – wbm1058 (talk) 23:01, 22 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
