Csángós ➡️ Csangos
editI made the change Csángós ➡️ Csangos, per WP:MOSTCOMMON. A ngram suggests that book sources favour the version without diacritics. 77wonders (talk) 06:29, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
- There is an ongoing move request at Talk:Csangos, it is worth waiting for its result. --Norden1990 (talk) 09:43, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
60,000 to 70,000 speakers of the speakers of the Csángó dialect in 2001 - outdated data?
edit"1,536 persons were self-declared Csángós at the 2011 Romanian census. Most ethnic Csángós are monolingual Romanian speakers, and only a minortiy of Csángós speak a Hungarian dialect known as Csángó". One can make the deduction that less than 800 Csángós speak the Csángó dialect. So I wonder how old is the estimation that presents 60,000 to 70,000 speakers of the Csángó dialect. 77wonders (talk) 10:14, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
The phrase "the part of Bacău County populated by ethnic Hungarians"
editI think the phrase "the part of Bacău County populated by ethnic Hungarians" is misleading. In my understanding, it would wrongly suggest a Hungarian majority. However, except Ghimeș-Făget (where 51% of the inhabitants were self-declared Hungarians in 2011 and historically belongs to Székely Land, not to Csángó Land), in no settlement Hungarians make up a big percentage. 77wonders (talk) 20:40, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
