I heard the scientific people pronounce it Cru-she-ble but it the play the crucible they say crue-see-ble -nollieheelflip--Nollieheelflip 10:52, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Nice article! A thousand years ago when crucible steel production was taking place in India, possibly elaborate a bit more on the materials used for the unusually high temperature (1,700 degree C) crucibles such as the high alumina clay, and a more precise location where it came from than Asia?
