MERGE: Duplicate Article

This article is about the same subject as Crown Hill National Cemetery.

Both are well-developed articles with slightly different information and should be merged carefully, perhaps under a different title, ie: Crown Hill National Cemetery (Indianapolis, Indiana)--James R (talk) 2 Mar 2010 (UTC) I think both of theese paragraphs are fake thanks for reading.

  • Added a subheading and brief content describing the National Cemetery at Crown Hill as well as a link reference to the National Cemetery's main article – Crown Hill National Cemetery – which provides more specific details. (The National Cemetery is on the grounds of Crown Hill, in Section 10. ) Crown Hill Cemetery includes much more on its grounds the National Cemetery, so they are not duplicate articles of the same entity. Additional content should help clarify this. Rosalina523 (talk) 22:48, 17 July 2014 (UTC)

Nature

The following paragraph is incorrect because unfortunately in 2006 (and probably early 2007) the management at Crown Hill allowed hunting on the grounds and many of the beautiful white-tailed deer were killed. Therefore, there are no longer an estimated 30 white-tailed deer on the property and I woundn't consider hunting grounds a "refuge for animals in the city."

"Crown Hill Cemetery is the largest refuge for animals in the city, including an estimated 30 white-tailed deer. There are also numerous species of trees, each of which is marked with a number that corresponds to its scientific name and its common name."75.5.205.9 02:23, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

  • Updated the section on nature using citation from a published source - it didn't include a specific number of deer, so I eliminated that reference in this article, but some deer are still there. The article did not say it was the city's largest refuge for animals, but it did acknowledge it as a large natural area, so I made a minor copy edit to help clarity.
