Lead Section edit

In addition to the odd wording mentioned above, the second part of the lead talking about Crocs' popularity among school students is a weird inclusion, and I think it's being given undue weight by appearing in the lead. A summary of their "controversial" style as described in the "Influence on fashion and culture" section would likely fit better, but I'm unsure of how to word that in a neutral way. Overall, the lead could use some work to do a better job of summarizing the article. I'll come back and draft something when I have time, but if anyone else has suggestions or their own edits for the lead, feel free. Jhaldeman2035 (talk) 02:49, 28 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Why "crocs"? edit

Born in Boulder, Colorado, as a simple, comfortable boat shoe, today Crocs™ footwear can be found across the globe and in more than 120 styles for men, women and children.

In its founding year, 2002, Crocs™ introduced an innovative shoe made of a revolutionary material called Croslite™.

The company was given the name Crocs™ after the multi-environment, amphibious nature of Crocodiles.

Semi-protect please edit

I would semi-protect the Crocs article due to its current popularity. Right now anyone can edit, but the next editor I’m afraid can be a vandalizer! 2603:7000:1401:5F1F:492B:32BD:BE8D:AAAD (talk) 20:07, 20 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
