Talk:Crisis (charity)

Latest comment: 6 years ago by NoPolymath in topic External links modified

Hello First off I'd like to state that I'm a Crisis employee so I'm wary of any conflict of interest issues here, but I really think this page needs updating... Also to hold my hands up and say I'm a Wikipedia editing novice so sorry for any foul-ups.

Have made a couple of tweaks to the page about Crisis at Christmas.

Some clarification about the name of the charity - it's called Crisis, but our biggest event is Crisis at Christmas (which slightly confusingly was the original name of the charity as a whole)

The main work of our charity year round is now Crisis Skylight, which is given a passing (and suspiciously bicycle-heavy) mention

The two projects mentioned, Weapons of Mass Instruction and Pudstock, are also quite old and jsut two of a series of fundraising events.

Finally there's a lot of research and campaign work that we do that doesn't get a mention

There's a lot more to add, but just thought I should flag up these initial thoughts...

I think Crisis at Xmas deserve better coverage, particularly for their work over the winter period. The current entries are scant and lack sufficient content.
