Cringe article

edit

Honestly there doesn't seem to be much substance here. A song can't be both deliberately and unintentionally cringey, nor can it be "unintentionally written to" do anything. The artists involved don't claim to have been out to cringe anyone. This is essentially an article about a word in the news. 73.71.251.64 (talk) 02:38, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

@73.71.251.64: I agree. My first reaction when I was saw was was "This is way too subjective to even be meaningful". Article seems to be mostly OR too. I'll look through this article later and if I don't see any merit, I might nominate it for deletion. — Python Drink (talk) 23:03, 6 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Also, this article isn't even factually true. Long before Rebecca Brown came along, Mark Gormley and Jan Terri were sensations for performing these types of amateur songs recorded in studios but released online with low budget cheesy productions. While they weren't called "cringe pop", they were certainly a major part of the inspiration for it. 2601:543:4402:7150:BCD2:BEAB:18D3:82D1 (talk) 04:48, 21 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
