Cricket people

Create articles about 19th century players who are listed in Wikipedia:WikiProject Cricket/19th century players
Create biographies about Bangladeshi players from the task force redlink list
Check the listing of key bios at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cricket/Key biographies and improve these to at least B-class.
Create batting/bowling graphs for cricketers who have excelled in international cricket.
Create articles for redlinks present here and here

Fixtures and participating teams edit

Has anyone actually seen these participants and fixtures confirmed anywhere? As far as I know, the only source gives tentative fixtures in the format of, for example, 5th ranked vs 18 ranked. We know the cut off date for rankings, but has it been confirmed which teams have entered? May be that some teams are a good enough ranking but have opted out. Well, I haven't seen anywhere that these participants and fixtures are confirmed but I saw that some of the countries like Pakistan women's, Nepal men's and India mens national cricket team had announced their squads for Asian Games 2022. Fade258 (talk) 16:56, 31 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks - Yes aware that some teams have definitely confirmed their participation. I just have the feeling that someone has predicted fixtures based on the ICC rankings without any confirmation that all of those teams have accepted an invitation. For example, it could be that one team doesn't enter and a lower ranked team takes their place. Or even that the format is altered if fewer teams enter. PS. It is a strange format to expect low ranked teams to turn up for potentially only a single match! Bs1jac (talk) 11:05, 1 August 2023 (UTC)Reply
