On 1:50K OS mapping only the height of the trig point is given - which is 423m. This is often assumed therefore to be the height of the summit. However modern 1:25K mapping shows a spot height some 3m higher to its NNE. More detailed modern mapping by OS reveals a 3rd spot height on the main ridge NE of the trig at a height of 428m. I have twice revised the text to reflect this survey detail of which I've only recently become aware.
