Talk:Creation vs. Evolution

Latest comment: 17 years ago by Seraphimblade

This page is meant for evidence against evolution. The name would have changed if I could change it to "Creation's Evidence Against Evolution". I plan to add much more to this page later.

I have supplied a few links and sources for this page, so I am not speaking off of my own opinions. This page could be added onto Creation-evolution Controversy if need be instead of being a separate page.

Question: Why does my page have to be nuetral when the Evolution page is not? It states things AS fact. I am simply supplying evidence against evolution, but not as fact, and I have supplied sources, and I plan to add more later.

It has mostly to do with the WP policy on undue weight for minor viewpoints. While creationism may be your viewpoint (and it should never be obvious from your writing here what your viewpoint is!), it's a small-minority view. The vast majority of scientists consider evolution to be as close to proven as a scientific theory gets, similar in stature to gravity and the atomic theory. A small minority may believe the earth is flat, but due to the overwhelming consensus we present the earth's round shape as fact due to the fact it's a large majority viewpoint, and the flat-earthers are a small minority. Creationism may have enough followers to deserve mention (as even the flat-earthers do), but the vast majority of scientists do not take it seriously. Given that, equal weight would be undue weight. ALL pages are neutral, or at least the attempt to make them neutral is made. Your arguement is, more or less, like saying that Mars (planet) is biased to gas giants. -WarthogDemon 06:29, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
The evolution page is neutral. If you have an issue you think is not neutral you should discuss it there, not make your own fork. (Also please sign your comments with four tildes ~~~~ which will make your user name and time of post appear like this JoshuaZ 06:28, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
You'll probably do best to direct your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Creation vs. Evolution in this situation. You may also want to see the five pillars of Wikipedia and/or deletion policy for more information. Thanks for your time, whatever happens. Luna Santin 06:29, 3 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
