Talk:Craven District

I moved the district back to Craven and the dab page to Craven (disambiguation) as this is clearly the primary meaning - almost all the incoming links to Craven are for the district, and most of the things on the dab page aren't referred to as just "Craven". — sjorford++ 20:35, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Boundaries

The current Boundaries section describes in detail the old ecclesiastic Deanery of Craven, but in its last two sentences it is in error re Lonsdale. I dispute "It did not historically include any part of geographical..."

The last two sentences must be rewritten for I am about to add a section on The Great Domesday Book folio 301v that clearly lists Hornby, Wennington, Melling, Nether & Over Burrow and Thornton-in-Lonsdale as being within Craven. This evidence disproves the previous author re "geographical" so I must delete that word. But one could retain "ecclesiastic" if someone replaced the vague "historically" with a date.

Topography

I have today added many references to this topography section. Sorry about the omission. May I now remove the {{Unreferenced section|date=May 2011} tag? Kildwyke (talk) 13:52, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

I cannot see a problem with removing the tag. I have done a couple of minor tweaks to the formatting but there appears to be a problem with one of the references not having any text, Could be just a typo in the tag name. Keith D (talk) 19:02, 17 May 2011 (UTC)
