Craig v. Boren edit

A brief note on a change I made to this page. The case Craig v. Boren, which established the current standard for judging sex discrimination in the United States, is general referred to by the single name "Craig," so I added it to the list. Feel free to change the section title. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.36.79.152 (talk) 19:28, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Surname/Given name edit

Why does this page only include people with the surname 'Craig' instead of also including people with the given name? All the other name articles have examples of both.-PassionoftheDamon 07:47, 3 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Certainly not all the other name articles: It would be too time-consuming to compile such lists, and they would be much too long and therefore pointless. This, however, may help you. <KF> 02:27, 8 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
That's rather besides the point. Nobody is saying there should be an all inclusive list. Certainly, though, the list should include examples of prominent persons with the given name, just as other articles on names do.-PassionoftheDamon 02:41, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
Personally, I'm not sure that makes a lot of sense -- for this or any other article. Of course, if you're talking about individuals who are known by their first name alone, then of course, they should be on the list. For example, some of the supermodels, or the musician Donovan. And I suppose it makes sense if it's a very unusual first name (perhaps). Is there an existing WP guideline on this? Cgingold 15:15, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
All I wanted was to be of assistance because I thought you were looking for someone particular whose first name is Craig. However, if that's "rather besides the point," then please tell me what the point is of having "examples of prominent persons with the given name" in this article. <KF> 15:58, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply
