County Governors Term of Office in Norway

edit

I believe there is an error in the term of a fylkesmann in Norway. We have it on good verbal authority from a fylkesmann that the term noted here is incorrect. A Fylkesmann is appointed for one six year term and he can serve a second six year term, but he must retire at the age of 70. I can find no documented references on this subject however, therefore a note here is warranted before a change. Ken L (talk) 23:35, 25 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Troms fylkesmann Svein Ludvigsen is retiring

edit

It appears that there is a new fylkesman in Troms: Fylkesmann Bård M. Pedersen [1] Ken L (talk) 23:41, 25 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Renaming the article

German-wiki and French-wiki call the article, "Statsforvalter". (Decades ago, each "Fylkesmann" actually governed a county. No longer so. In addition, the position of "Fylkesmann" was renamed to "Statsforvalter", quite a few months ago.) 89.8.109.196 (talk) 06:48, 18 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
