Canada ending DAB service

Western Canadian implementation

Several years ago, DAB was being marketed in Vancouver. The radio ads were terrible: Gilbert Gottfried (or somebody who sounded like him) was getting messages from God to buy a DAB receiver from Radio Shack. I was curious, so I went to Radio Shack, and found that the coverage in Greater Vancouver did not extend to my home, so I gave it a miss. DMB in South Korea ?

Maybe I missed something, but from http://www.worlddab.org/country_information_/south_korea "As the first country to commercially launch mobile TV, South Korea is the most successful DMB market in the world. More than 23 million DMB enabled devices have been sold, of which the most popular are mobile phones. DAB in Finland

As it says in the article, Finland no longer uses DAB, there's alternative tech in use instead. So the country should be yellow on the map, right? If anyone knows how to fix this, please do so. Denmark closing down DAB

On the 1-December-2014 Denmark is going to close down it's DAB and moving to DAB+ only. Long term plan is to turn off FM radio by the year 2019 if possible. The official plans can be found here in Danish.

missleading. It is only a small ratio of the German population actually able to listen to DAB, because virtually nobody has DAB receivers. This statement would be more correct: "Also more than 90% of the German population lives in areas where at least one digital radio ensemble can be received." Latvia starts testing DAB+

South Africa

Section is outdated. All trials have been concluded, there are no more trials planned.

There is now a policy in place, recommending DAB+. DRM30 and DRM+ as multistandard scenario for South Africa. Also draft regulations have been published by ICASA and thereafter were submissions and public hearings.
