Duplicate Wikidata Entries

Currently, we have two Wikidata entries for the Salis-Soglio noble family: 1,2. One is for this article on the English Wikipedia, while the other is for the German, French, and Italian-language articles.

Do these two Wikidata entries cover the exact same topic, and is it appropriate to merge the two? --1990'sguy (talk) 22:29, 1 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

The variants are, I think, justified in that the House of Salis is large and various parts such as the Salis-Soglio (mostly De Salis) is neatly distinct from the others such as Salis-Seewis; Salis-Maienfeld; Salis-Zizers; Salis-Haldenstein; Sertoli-Salis of Tirano; Salis-Samedan; etc Rodolph (talk) 23:04, 12 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
