Talk:Cotoletta

Russian edit

that Russian kotleta stuff (why with k?) has no basis in fact. The passage is an opinion, a wrong one, it quotes no references and mentions no sources, not even anecdotal ones.

Milanesa edit

Milanesa and cottoletta alla milanesa, though similar, are definitely not the same dish, at least that you can name a country where cottoleta alla milanesa and milanesa are sinonyms. Though both being breaded meat and also related one between another they are not the same. Mayor difference attaches at the cut of meat that is used, while cottoletta is a breaded steak with milanesa is a breaded biff without, hence both dishes are not the same. It is like saying that a coxinha is also a cottoletta. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Neurorebel (talkcontribs) 00:24, 5 March 2017 (UTC) --Neurorebel (talk) 00:27, 5 March 2017 (UTC)--Neurorebel (talk) 00:27, 5 March 2017 (UTC)--Neurorebel (talk) 00:27, 5 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

I was just mudding the waters, somehow i thought that milanesa redicted here, sorry.--Neurorebel (talk)

Not according to this article. If you have a reliable source that says otherwise please do provide a citation to it.-- Srleffler (talk) 23:28, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Merger? edit

I'm thinking about merging this article with Breaded cutlet, but wanted to gather opinions first. As currently written, this article violates WP:NOTDICT. The lead sentence "Cotoletta ... is an Italian word for a veal breaded cutlet." defines the topic of the article as a word, contrary to policy. The topic that word denotes is covered by a different article. Therefore, this article should be merged there. The only reason for this article to exist as a separate article would be if there were some distinction between a cotoletta and other types of veal cutlet. Anyone want to advance an argument that that is the case? If not, I'll proceed with the merger.-- Srleffler (talk) 23:07, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply

Nevermind. After further reading I decided that this topic merits its own article. I rewrote the introduction to avoid the WP:NOTDICT issues.--Srleffler (talk) 23:26, 28 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
