How is "cosmetic acupuncture" related to "Dermarollers" (microneedling) that induces collagen generation to reduce wrinkles/acne scarring? NPOV problems edit
This article doesn't give due weight to the scientific and medical evaluations of the fringe practices of acupuncture and specifically cosmetic acupuncture, which is currently summarised at the end of one sentence as "however this is disputed". This needs to be addressed. At the moment the article gives undue validity to the unproven procedure. Verbal chat 15:28, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Undue weight edit
There is a lack of what we in the west call scientific evidence for cosmetic acupuncture. Only when there are enough people having it done, and enough money is made available, can we start doing those type of studies. In the meantime, photgraphic evidence does support the claim that specific acupuncture techniques improve facial features. Given this is a cosmetic intervention, for reasons related to perception of attractiveness, it may, for now, be enough to accept the reported benefits. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pricklyone (talk • contribs) 10:10, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
