Are coronal holes permanent? How long do they last? Do the frequency of them give new information as to the lifespan of our sun, and its eventual burn-out however many milleniums from now? permanent? No. They last a few weeks.
Frequency. No idea. Probably not. Millions of years anyway,
No direct relation to solar flares but they are the site of Coronal Mass Ejections, and hence Aurorae.
