I think cornflour and cornstarch are not the same thing , I-m going to be bold and remove the redirect --Melaen 21:01, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Good, they are definitely not the same, but there may be justification in merging with masa and cornmeal. Masa however is made from hominy, rather than being directly ground from unprocessed corn, but most uses of corn as flour other than masa are the coarser cornmeal. Perhaps all these should be sections of maize, rather than separate articles. -- WormRunner | Talk 21:57, 26 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I'm going to remove the circular definition of cornstarch, because it seems to imply that Americans may call cornmeal "cornflour." Confiteordeo 17:21, 15 October 2006 (UTC)Reply
Having taken a step back, I now realise that was a rather circular entry. :-) I added a bit to make the UK usage clear (cornflour refers almost exclusively to cornstarch here, and 'cornstarch' itself wouldn't be familiar to a UK reader) Fourohfour 16:50, 5 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
