I am from Melbourne I want to visit my son who is in custody at Cooma he hasn’t had a visit since being in custody ( 2 years) my query is can I visit him as I have a crn number, in Melbourne I would have to write a letter to the governor seeking his permission to visit my son ? 122.104.247.134 (talk) 06:21, 25 November 2022 (UTC)

See Help:Talk pages for more information about that. That being said, since you've already asked the question, I don't think it will be a problem for you. Firstly, our different prisons systems aren't exactly renowned for sharing information. More importantly though, last time I checked there's no restriction on visiting a NSW prisoner if you yourself have a MIN (our equivalent of a CRN). If you were currently on parole in NSW, you would only be allowed to have a box-visit when visiting a currently incarcerated person, but there's no need for permission to visit someone just because you have a MIN, let alone an equivalent from another state.
