Merged edit

I have today created a new page called Cool and Lam and merged all information from the former articles about Bertha Cool and Donald Lam, making both individual pages into redirects. (see the talk pages of the redirect pages -- this has been proposed for six weeks with no adverse comments). I was instructed that I couldn't merge the talk pages so I will leave them as they are, so that people have a record of what's happened. If anyone has any questions or problems, my talk page will be a good place to let me know, or I'll have this page on my watchlist. Accounting4Taste 01:50, 10 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Cats Prowl at Night edit

This novel is inferior to, and written differently from, the average Cool and Lam story. Is it possible Gardner let someone else write it, maybe under his supervision?2601:7:7700:1A6:60F7:D650:9EC5:F113 (talk) 22:02, 27 November 2013 (UTC)Reply

No sign of it. His novels varied in quality; the amazing thing is how many of them are very good, given the huge number of them. 2.31.36.101 (talk) 23:16, 16 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Die Laughing edit

This gives away too much. Suggest it be edited to remove spoilers. 24.130.15.8 (talk) 06:02, 2 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism? edit

Someone removed all the reviews from 26 on, written by several people. Why was this done? 95.149.54.104 (talk) 11:06, 21 November 2015 (UTC) Restored. 73.70.250.164 (talk) 06:50, 28 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

New publication edit

The Knife Slipped (2016 (Dec.)). Originally intended to be the second book in the series, the publisher rejected it for (among other things) "Bertha Cool's tendency to talk tough, swear, smoke cigarettes, and try to gyp people." http://www.thrillingdetective.com/cool_lam.html agb — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.233.167.63 (talk) 18:10, 8 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

This is a great find, but the numbering is a problem. When a long-standing series has a late addition, it is often put in as 'X1/2' or 'X a' or something that will not require re-numbering the whole series - a convienience for libraries and collectors. Suggest this be done with the new discovery. 86.148.54.169 (talk) 21:23, 16 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Have listed them in order of publication. That should fix it, as that is also the chronological order of the series, except the last one. 12.201.7.201 (talk) 14:00, 14 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
