"Originally inhabited by the Seneca Nation of the Iroquois Confederacy, who used this area as hunting grounds, the land of Cook Forest was purchased by the English." For what it's worth, the Seneca nation page points out that they arrived in 1653, conquering the Erie (tribe). I'm not going to edit, since this isn't anything I actually know about personally, but someone more knowledgeable might want to consider the matter. 24.239.127.77 (talk) 03:16, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

I agree, but the article history follows the official DCNR history which makes no mention of the Erie (it makes it clearer that the Seneca were there when European-American settlers arrived in the area). We hope to eventually get this cleaned up and to FA status, so this will be cleaned up - thanks, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:23, 13 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
