Translation of Umma
editHi, I dont't think that "nation" could be a good translation of Umma... the correct translation is community... "nation" is a very Western and modern concept --Hallkall (talk) 14:02, 1 January 2019 (UTC)

The division of the constitution into numbered articles is not in the original text but added later by scholars. Text of constitution
editThe text is semi-long, and putting text this long on wikipedia isn't common. Should the text be moved to Wikisouce, and then linked to? Eievie (talk) 20:24, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
- Ok, it appears the issue is that there isn't an English translation old enough to be out of copyright. The earliest I can find so far is Muhammad Hamidullah's 1941 one. Eievie (talk) 00:19, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
