- @R Prazeres Did not find it in the source in the beggining when I clicked to the link, but then discovered that I did not have acsess to the source...
- The fact that it was given away to Spain by a saadi sultan was denied by Al Ifrani, a reliable source here exactly+ another reliable source denied it p159 + the whole story seem to be unconsistent because the islot was under ottoman control since 1554 (more info in this wikipedia article). - Al Ifrani is an ancient source (I haven't checked what he says). The book by Robert Rezette was published in 1976, and is therefore older than the Encyclopedia of Islam.

- Yes by error, the ping to others was just to know others opinion about the subject.
- To have a clear consensus about the subject (it need more than two people). But I was wrong I guess.
