An earlier Treaty of Arras? edit

The article Jean Petit (theologian), mentions a 1415 Treaty of Arras between Charles VI (Charles VII's father) and Philip of Burgundy. Is it wrong, or was there an earlier treaty of the same name ? Colonies Chris (talk) 10:56, 24 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Arthur de Richemont edit

Henry V's step-brother Arthur de Richemont needs to be mentioned. Here is what the online Encyclopedia Britannica has to say:

"Using his Burgundian connections, Richemont was able to arrange the Treaty of Arras (Sept. 21, 1435), which ended the long quarrel between Duke Philip of Burgundy and the French king. Arras was the political and diplomatic turning point of the Hundred Years’ War, as well as an important milestone in Richemont’s own career."

His first wife was Margaret of Nevers, former Dauphine and daughter of John the Fearless. Arthur later (1445) married Jacquetta de Luxembourg's sister Catherine (ironically for the memory of poor Bedford). He is a pivotal figure in the Hundred Years' War: fighting at Agincourt, and later under Joan of Arc's banner, before becoming Constable of France (a second time).
