Will Young Song

The BBC Concert for Diana site is reporting that the song Will Young performed was "Free" Dan Deerskin 18:40, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

Will sang Switch It On with eight girl dancers but unfortunately while he was actually on stage, his second song, the hit single Leave Right Now was cut, much to the puzzlement of the audience and Will himself.

The same thing happened to Natash Bedingfield, but at least she knew her second song was being cut.

Live Performance ?

Are all acts really doing 100% live performance, i.e. both singing and the soundtrack ? I don´t doubt with Elton John ect, but how about Fergie ? hemmerling 19:37, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

I thought that also, however then the Sound changed and it simply seemed like the feed wasn't working for the majority of the first song! Seemed live after that! Dan Deerskin 19:10, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

I noticed the sound quality failure with the first song too, but remember the "strings" in the song - the were a few musicians shown during the Fergie show, but no "strings". I listen to a recorded show, starting at 20:15 CET (with daylight savings ), so 3 hours after the show started in UK. How long are the soloist-changing interval ? As the equipment of the musicians is NOT on "tables", anything less than 30 minutes for real life equipment is not realistic ! hemmerling 19:37, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

TV Coverage

Why is Kate listed as former girlfriend?

The first one was Una Mary Parker (cousin of Camilla Parker Bowles). Another person Bonnie Brownlee just confirmed it also. Now granted these are not official but maybe enough to call her neither an ex or confirmed girlfriend, we can just say that she attended. His entire career involves situations where characters are caught in cringeworthy awkward situations. It was completely intentional; everybody would go in with the possibility they'd have to fill time, in particular someone as highly regarded as Gervais, who did exactly the same at Live 8...

Concert for Diana and Live Earth concert, London

Concert for Diana (The People's Princess) was a concert held at the new Wembley Stadium in London in honour of the late Diana, Princess of Wales on July 1, 2007, which would have been her 46th birthday; 2007 is also the 10th anniversary of her death. The concert was hosted by Diana's sons, Prince William and Prince Harry who helped to organise for many of the world's most famous entertainers and singers to perform at the concert. The concert was broadcast in 140 different countries across the world.

Did they make use of each other facilties and know-how?

Who did pay for the original preparations, technical equipment etc. The organisation of the Concert for Diana or the organisation of Live Earth or did they split the bill?

Which artists performed therefore only once or just twice?

you are over complicating it they were 2 completely independent concerts, they just happened to share a venue a week or so apart. AfTaDaRkCrU 16:42, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

Who Paid For It?

A concert of this magnitude, surely was expensive. Who paid for it? The tax-payer? Ticket buyers? The Princes themselves? Stewards, artists accomodation and transportation, security, etc, the logistics for a concert like this are mind-boggling. I believe there should be a mention in the article about this. Track listing incorrect: Elton John madness?!

Someone (crazed Elton John fan?)has credited Anastacia, Andrea Bocelli, Srah Brightman, Josh Groban and Connie Fisher as all having sung Elton John songs at this concert - completely untrue! All these artistes performed as part of an Andrew Lloyd Webber Musicals section of the show. Someone should correct this! (Distant Cousin (talk) 23:52, 8 January 2010 (UTC))
