How do I create a link to example papers?

Hello, I am trying to figure out how to use a template to link to the Pub Med reference for different articles. I am trying to make this look the same as the references section, but these papers aren't actually references, just examples. Is there any way I can do this? This is one such article I would like to link to http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed?term=Major%20gene%20effect%20for%20insulin%20levels%20in%20familial%20NIDDM%20pedigrees Thanks. I am not sure what the exact question is here....do you mean you want to use links to these abstracts because they are examples of the subject? Bare URLS are not allowed within the text (according to the Wikipdia Manual of style), but you could put in an External links section and give it a sub-title of 'Examples of Complex segregation analysis". You could also build an 'Examples' section using a bulleted list.
If my response doesn't actually answer your question, just re-post it using the instructions above. Shearonink (talk) 21:55, 16 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Do you mean a footnote reference like this?[1]
  1. ^ Schumacher, MC (1992). "Major gene effect for insulin levels in familial NIDDM pedigrees". Diabetes. 41 (4): 416–23. PMID 1607068. Retrieved June 10, 2012. {{cite journal}}: Unknown parameter |coauthors= ignored (|author= suggested) (help); Unknown parameter |month= ignored (help)
