Causes of the American Civil War edit
The short account given here of the causes and issues at stake in the principal armed conflict with occurred on the North American Continent between 1861 and 1865 is not NPOV. Compare the treatment of the same issues in American_Civil_War#Casues_of_the_War or in Origins of the American Civil War.
It is not NPOV to present one of the views about the origins of war as a matter of undisputed fact. A brief summary should be given mentioning the main factors which have been put forward as reasons for the conflict. --Todowd 11:45, 10 August 2006 (UTC)
Cleanup edit
I tagged this page for cleanup because there's no logical order. It starts with Compensated Emancipation in the United States, then moves to other countries, then back to the US. If nothing else, this should be fixed. It needs some expansion in clarity as well, but the cleanup is the bigger issue. Papercrab 21:32, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
