Translation of article content edit

There's an article about this theatre company on fr.Wikipedia. Since there's content in there that's useful, I've been working on translating it into the article. When content is translated, I mention it in the edit summary. If it isn't a part of the edit summary, then it's an improvement of my own. For example, the fr.Wikipedia article mentions "Cette propriété est maintenant patrimoine québécois". My original translation of this sentence was quite a literal one, but I improved it afterwards. Then, I googled heritage quebec sites and found a website for it. Félix Leclerc's home is listed as one, so I added an inline citation for the content. That was a seperate edit. I'm writing down all of this on the talk page, because there's a lot that I'm trying to edit into the article and I wanted to clarify that I'm keeping translations, tweaks of translations and content edits as seperate edits to avoid confusion. To clarify, I'm still in the process of this. I've got a good portion of the work done, but it's not where it needs to be under my own standards. A good portion of the translation has weird phrasing at the moment and I'm working on fixing it. There's references from the fr.Wikipedia that I still need to add and a few sentances I need to triple-check for accuracy. Once that's out of the way, I need to figure out whether the company dissolved in 1951 or 1952, because right now the article is kind of contradicting itself. Then, more tweaks and additional research. I think that this article has a lot of potential and I'm trying to devote time to fixing its current issues. I'm also doing other tasks on-wiki in-between so I don't get bored out of my mind. Clovermoss (talk) 00:43, 30 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
