G'day, interesting article. I had a go at copy editing a little. I'm not really knowledgable enough to assess content, sorry, but I have a couple of suggestions. I wonder if it would be possible to expand the lead a bit and to clarify the role of the US. Currently the infobox mentions the deployment of 24,000 US troops but the body of the article is silent on this fact. Good luck with taking the article further.
