Origin of the name edit
The main article could be improved by explaining how the Commodore 4040 got its name. Did the "40" represent the width of the intersector gap?
Or, since it was a dual disk drive, the same intersector gap might have been used on both diskettes.
Or did the "40" represent the width of the synch mark, 5 bytes having 40 bits or so? 216.99.201.230 (talk) 06:20, 6 June 2009 (UTC)
