Question

edit

This sentence in the "Legacy" section is questionable:

In 1977 among the guests was writer John Stanley, famed for his work on the Little Lulu comic book, in his second (and last) appearance at a convention.

Is there something notable about this? There were many, many writer-artist guests. Stanley doesn't even have his own entry (this link above is to a diambig page), and even if he had, with all due respect to his fine cartooning and indelible Little Lulu art (he was more than a writer), there doesn't seem to be anything especially significant about an ordinary convention guest that he should be singled out in a Legacy section. -- Tenebrae 10:48, 1 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

I created a Stanley entry and it mentions his attendance at the 1977 show. Dgabbard (talk) 06:32, 6 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

The present Will Eisner section should be shortened, the bulk of it being moved to Mr. Eisner's own article. It's certainly disproportionatly large.

Some more mention of the "celebrity" panel discussions, the costume contests, and if anyone remembers, who some of the major dealers who attended shoould be added.

Also, even though a couple of nice Convention Program covers are reproduced, some words about the Programs might be added...I cherished these, and often the programs were my favorite aspect of the shows. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.161.55.162 (talk) 21:01, 8 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi -- here's a better image of the cover that is free to non-commercial use. https://www.flickr.com/photos/136444372@N04/23009348369/in/dateposted-public/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.24.148.123 (talk) 19:59, 28 November 2015 (UTC)Reply
