Talk:Comedy of errors

My last edit should have been a "minor edit." There were multiple spelling mistakes that were fixed. Kmwiki 17:58, 27 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Anachronism edit

William Shakespeare wrote such a play, appropriately titled The Comedy of Errors.

This implies that the term was already in use at the time, and the play was so-named to refer to it. In reality, this play is how the term itself was coined in the first place. So it's not "appropriately" titled. It's "tautologically" titled. --76.224.69.130 (talk) 21:11, 22 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Clean-up edit

I have started a clean-up of this page, including putting it into sections. Re the comment above, I don't believe that Shakespeare's work was "tautologically titled" either. I feel that the phrase may have existed before Shakespeare, but have no proof either way, so I have re-worded the sentence completely --TimothyJacobson (talk) 01:35, 11 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
