Rewrite and Re-edit Nomination

edit

As a part of WP:Universities, I am running a task force regarding community colleges in Illinois. As a part of this, I am working on CC articles one by one, and wanted to gauge the response in the talk page on doing a rewrite. I have placed some of the more appropriate tags on the article, as it is clear it needs alot of work to Wikify. I would welcome thoughts suggestions, and I will wait at least 14 days before starting. Bias editing

edit

This page keeps getting edited with the same text. Unbiased view on student's maturity levels.

The last paragraph is not created from an unbiased view. It sounds like an opinion, although it is true CLC did have to clear out the main lobby due to excessive noise (this was due to it being a common meeting place for its students) the idea that the students are more [or less] immature is not a fact.

I agree. It's impossible to prove the maturity levels of students. This material has been removed several times for POV and lack of sources. -Will Beback 20:41, 12 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
Agree. You can't have the text declaring the "maturity levels" of the students; that's just opinion. The fact that the furniture was moved is also not important to the rest of the article. 71.201.59.110 05:54, 4 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

We need to add information regarding some of the non-standard degrees offered and certainly more information regarding non-academic functions, such as the college's student activities area, advising/counseling systems, attached Mainstage Theatre (frequent grants applied for and received each year to supplement event planning) and smaller Studio Theatre, with its open-auditions to the public as well as students, etc. Ont ehother hand, I recall seeing information such as this, although perhaps to cursory, in this same article. --Band-of-neon (talk) 04:41, 20 January 2008 (UTC)Reply
