Concerns About Article: College Basketball Invitational

edit

I find it unneccessary to list the teams included in the tournament on this page. This work has already been done for us in the article: 2008 College Basketball Invitational. <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008_College_Basketball_Invitational> Cdcollins10 (talk) 06:09, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Pay or Start Up or Controversy or Anything Else

edit

There is buzz out there about a few aspects of the CBI. There is the fact that schools have to pay to be in (and how much per game), reasons why it was started, and even some controversies about it exisiting. Can anyone maybe add to the CBI page with any of this? The article makes it sound like just a run of the mill tourny, but even the fact that is the only new one since the 70s proves that there is more to the story. This is further proved by the number of schools declining thier bid. Can any of this be added? NeuGye (talk) 15:13, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Coronavirus in 2020

edit

The 2020 CBI was canceled due to coronavirus https://twitter.com/CBITourney/status/1237780933882847234.

(If the talk page will allow that link.) Which should presumably be addressed on the main page, in some fashion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:248:C201:FFB0:D930:97BC:B6EB:F310 (talk) 17:35, 11 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

The file File:College Basketball Invitational (shield).png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free former logo being used in a WP:DECORATIVE manner in College Basketball Invitational which fails WP:NFCC#8 and WP:NFG. Non-free former logos can be used as long as their use complies with WP:NFC#cite_note-4 and this almost always means the logo itself about the logo and the associated change in brandling that led to its replacement is the subject of sourced critical commentary. Simply adding the logo to "show" what it looks like is not considered sufficient to satisfy WP:NFC#CS, except in cases where the logo is being used for primary identification purposes at the top of or in the main infobox of an article about the organization the logo represents.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:33, 15 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
