Talk:Cold (novel)

Different titles

edit

I'm sure someone might point out that The Spy Who Loved Me was initially pubished in American magazines under a different title, as were a couple of Fleming's short stories, but citing Moonraker as the last occasion of an American retitling is correct because I'm referring to book publication only. ;-) 23skidoo 03:39, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The result of the move request was: No consensus for move. While most editors who commented support the move, Wikkitywack is right that this title is apparently an acronym, and therefore falls under the exception to WP:ALLCAPS. Ucucha 02:36, 24 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

COLD (novel)Cold (novel)WP:ALLCAPS, the capitalisation is stylistic only. —84.92.117.93 (talk) 16:53, 16 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The article presents no indication that it is an acronym, certainly not one that is widely used. --Labattblueboy (talk) 19:37, 23 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
I don't know how you can say this...because the final sentence of the article says: "The enemy of the story is provided by a terrorist army called COLD, which stands for Children Of the Last Days." And your "widely used" comment is irrelevant. We're trying to figure out whether the title is an acronym or not - not whether it's a popular acronym!
