Hey @StreetcarEnjoyer, if you're planning to work on this there was a previous draft that got deleted for inactivity - you should be able to request a copy of it via WP:REFUND/G13 (though I'm not sure how that works with another page being created in the same place). @StreetcarEnjoyer: just saw your edit, and i'd like to clear up the confusion about mine a little. the followup to the financial update specifies that they had reestablished contact with their donor, that being published three days after the verge post—the citation needed was just for the clarification that the loss of contact was temporary, the part that i added. sorry if that was confusing.
