"but local usage has Clettwr"

I live in Llangynfelyn, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Llangynfelyn, the local community concerned, and that's nonsense. See, for example,

(i) Cletwr, the local community centre/shop, https://cletwr.com/

(ii) 'Cletwr' in the first sentence of Papur Pawb, the local Welsh-language community newspaper, for July 2023, http://papurpawb.com/ol-rifynnau/2023/PP-Gorffennaf-2023.pdf, plus the local bard's rhyme at the foot of the first column.

(iii) 'Dolcletwr' ('Cletwr Meadow'), the main farm on the Cletwr, in the second sentence of the Dorset Sheep Society's report on the local agricultural show 2022, https://www.dorsetsheep.co.uk/index.php/shows/show-results-2022/762-talybont-show-2022

(iv) And finally, the Welsh Wicipedia article for the river (afon) through this valley (cwm), https://cy.wikipedia.org/wiki/Afon_Cletwr_(Gogledd_Ceredigion), which includes "Llifa Afon Cletwr trwy warchodfa natur Coed Cwm Cletwr" ('The river Cletwr flows through the Coed Cwm Cletwr nature reserve').

I'd suggest recasting the article as "Coed Cwm Cletwr", as per its Welsh Wicipedia article, and only mentioning, if really need be, "the increasingly obsolete anglicisation Clettwr". 109.147.130.235 (talk) 21:24, 19 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
