Phoneticism edit
It is now well established that Aztec writing is not pictorial but uses logograms as well as phonetic syllabograms - though the degree of phoneticism varies between different codices. I am not aware of any specific studies of phoneticism in the Borbonicus, but it seems to be to be a problematic misrepresentation of the current state of knowledge to claim that it is only pictorial and logographic.·maunus · snunɐɯ· 08:58, 12 April 2018 (UTC)
