Avoid User: stuff

The Inclusive Scouting Distinguished Service Award is awarded by the Coalitions for Inclusive Scouting to persons who have spoken out against the Boy Scout policies at a substantial personal risk. Awardees include James Dale (see Boy Scouts of America v. Dale), Matt Hill (see www.matthillnc.com or Wikipedia User Page Matthillnc).

Name of article

I think the name of the article should be Coalition for Inclusive Scouting, not plural. --Jagz 00:40, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:ISA wt 120.jpg

Image:ISA wt 120.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Website status?

What happened to the Coalition's website?[1] --Jagz 00:46, 23 February 2007 (UTC)

Does the Coalition still exist? Should this article be deleted? --Jagz 13:31, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
It doesn't appear to exist anymore and should be deleted. When the only current links to an organization using a Google search are to stories over two years old and to the Wikipedia article itself, it shows that the organization is no longer viable or relevant. GCW50 19:32, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

The domain registration expired on 10 April 2007. [2] --Gadget850 ( Ed) 11:38, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

... and the G/LEARN site, which is currently dead, expires on 20 April 2007. [3] --Gadget850 ( Ed) 11:43, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

We should probably consider merging this into Boy Scouts of America membership controversies. I'm not sure what would fit. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 20:18, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Both sites were offline for quite some time and the domains have expired. I think at this point, that the coalition exists only as a historical reference. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 12:55, 23 April 2007 (UTC)
I echo all of the above, plus:
At it's peak, this article had 2 references, both of them limited to discussing availability of a patch, and very little specific content. One reference is dead, the other is page selling the patch which does not even mention the organization that is the subject of this article. This leaves it with near zero references, and zero references establishing notability per wp:gng. I am going to expand the coverage of this a little in Boy Scouts of America Membership Controversies, and then IMHO it should be deleted or considered merged. Redirect to Scouting in the United States, where it is already mentioned. The ScoutPride link is not opening for me. ---— Gadget850 (Ed) talk 11:17, 12 June 2010 (UTC)
Dead for me too.
"Redirect" sounds like the end result but what do you mean by how to get there, in terms of Wikipedia mechanisms? North8000 (talk) 14:18, 12 June 2010 (UTC)

Delete This Article?

Per the 3-1/2 year long discussion of this above under "website status" I'm going to propose that we delete this article. And "redirect to Scouting in the United States, where it is already mentioned." per gadget850's recommendation.

At it's peak, this article had 2 references, both of them limited to discussing availability of a patch, and very little specific content. One reference is dead, the other is page selling a patch which does not even mention the organization that is the subject of this article. This leaves it with near zero references, and zero references establishing notability per wp:gng. North8000 (talk) 11:11, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Some additional discussion was at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Scouting North8000 (talk) 14:42, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Main discussion is now at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Scouting_for_All North8000 (talk) 14:40, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

The plan from the main discussion is to:

I don't know whether to first fix it here or just re-create new summaries when moving, but the main section, aside from general sourcing problems, has NPOV wording problems, as well as, by implication, including an unsourced (and wrong) statement. Probably best to first tweak it here. North8000 (talk) 11:26, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
