Copyediting - a minor question
@UnnamedUser: Thanks for taking the time continueing copyediting. I can guess what "newscruft" means but what does "horrorcruft" mean please? Does that mean I had written the horrendous statistic of the number of early deaths without saying in the text where it came from, so the reader would have had to dig down into the cite to check the source was authoritative? Anyway I think you putting "Istanbul Policy Center" into the text is useful as it allows people to immediately tag it if they think there is any doubt about the number, which would then prompt me to find an even more reliable source.Chidgk1 (talk) 14:49, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- It's my term to refer to horrific events that are too often described in a Wikipedia article instead of actual encyclopedic content. Wikipedia is not a newspaper. From UnnamedUser (open talk page) 19:07, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- Also a question from me: by "mt", do you mean metric ton or megaton or another unit? UnnamedUser (open talk page) 23:03, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- OK. I want to finish this copyedit, so I have instructions:
- I've assumed that mt = Mt = megaton.
- If it means metric ton, find the symbol for metric ton in Template:Convert.
- Then CTRL + F to find all instances of "Mt" and replace with the symbol for metric ton. UnnamedUser (open talk page) 23:44, 15 November 2019 (UTC)
- OK. I want to finish this copyedit, so I have instructions:
