Copyright issues edit

The "new" version appears to contain copypasted verbatim text and excessive use of quotation which violates our copyright policy and the guidelines for the use of non-free material. The problematic material appears to come from other websites, most notably this one and this one and possibly also from print publications. Even if this were free text, the tone is unencyclopedic and largely unsuitable. It also contains original research (many references are to "Author's observation"). The article has now been reverted to a previous version. If you wish to expand or improve the article, please observe our copyright and verifiability guidelines and expand the article gradually. If mass restoration of the problematic version is attempted again, I'm afraid the entire article will have to be blanked for a full copyright investigation. Sources for improving the article edit

Reliable sources that can be used to expand and improve this article include

  • McFadden, Dawn (5 September 1992). "Group Helps People Fight Addictions". Calhoun Times, pp. 12
  • Deb M. and Katie C. (1999). Stepping Stones to Recovery from Codependency. Hazelden Publishing. ISBN 1568383754

All of them have sections on this organization. Of these, the last three are more scholarly and may be particularly valuable. Voceditenore (talk) 10:45, 9 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sources from the further reading section edit

I removed the section, but some of these sources also peer-reviewed and discuss CoDA specifically.

formatting edit

I hate to come in here and immediately start making huge formatting changes, but all the content is in the lede. There even seem to be notepade-style headers using all caps. Is it safe to say we can at least move the current content accordingly and keep finessing the article? --128.83.144.242 (talk) 20:09, 23 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Putting the basic content in the lede is what I learned when I wrote for a newspaper years ago. What is supposed to be there? And capitalized headers seems pretty common to me. Again, what is the wiki way? Jbr1970 (talk) 16:07, 22 August 2013 (UTC)8/22/13Reply
