This is blatant advertising. If every consultancy report got its own wikipedia page, the internet would soon be too small. This page should be deleted. rjtklein 20:10, 3 December 2010 (UTC)

DARA editing edit

This page was created and edited by DARA employees. DARA is an independent non-profit humanitarian research organization not a consultancy firm. The report referred to was carried out as a major 6 month research project involving dozens of expert collaborators from different scientific and specialist backgrounds on the topic and is a reliable source of information in its own right with respect to this topic area. It will meet wikipedia's content guidelines, in particular on notability as follows (by proxy): "The book has been the subject[1] of multiple, non-trivial[2] published works appearing in sources that are independent of the book itself,[3] with at least some of these works serving a general audience. This includes published works in all forms, such as newspaper articles, other books, television documentaries and reviews. Some of these works should contain sufficient critical commentary to allow the article to grow past a simple plot summary. This excludes media re-prints of press releases, flap copy, or other publications where the author, its publisher, agent, or other self-interested parties advertise or speak about the book." There are already 4-5 such third-party sources listed, many more will be uploaded shortly. Other editors could also help to improve the article rather than just blanket delete it, since many third party sources are readily available online following basic online searches. We ourselves aim to greatly improve the article's content with respect to wikipedia's content guidelines and policies, which we acknowledge to be insufficiently respected in this article at the current time. All future edits will be carried out by us in full transparency using the DARA editor user name within our own time and resource constraints.DARA editor (talk) 00:04, 17 December 2010 (UTC)Reply
