Non-free image

Bringing this article to higher than C-class

Hi @Adavidb, thanks for assessing this article. It's my first article that I've written and I'd like to understand what more I need to do to get a higher assessment! I'm not questioning your assessment of the article quality at all! I just read through the criteria for C class and B class quality ratings and I'm not sure what to do from here. Thanks! My rating is based on the "C" prediction by the Rater script. I've made various minor updates and corrections this morning to improve the article's quality, though more is needed for a higher class. B articles should pass six criteria, per Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Assessment. I think the existing references are sufficient for the current content, though believe coverage of his legal career needs further expansion for B status. The article has a good structure and is written well. One or more photos of Newman or subjects closely related to him would greatly help the article. —ADavidB 16:19, 1 February 2023 (UTC)

Appreciate the changes! I will say, I've done quite a lot of searching and these are the notable cases in his judicial career, although he has handled some non-murder trials that might warrant coverage here. I've exhausted looking through old newspapers and haven't been able to find much about the cases he worked before he became a judge. I will try once more. In his testimony in a hearing to the state legislature he gives an overview of some of the notable cases he worked on but I wasn't sure I could include those because that's a primary source. I could try to find local newspaper coverage of those trials though and see if he is mentioned. Philipnelson99 (talk) 16:29, 1 February 2023 (UTC)

And regarding the photo, I've tried to find an image that I could use. I would have to claim fair use because I can't find any free images, and I've never done that before so hopefully I can figure that out. I did find one on the state court website but they have a copyright claim on everything on their website unless otherwise specified. Philipnelson99 (talk) 16:33, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
