Fair use rationale for Image:Cliffordirving72.jpg

Image:Cliffordirving72.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Clifford Irving. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:

  • Attempted to fix sourcing for //www.cliffordirving.com/movie.php

When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}).

Assessment comment

The comment(s) below were originally left at Talk:Clifford Irving/Comments, and are posted here for posterity. Following several discussions in past years, these subpages are now deprecated. The comments may be irrelevant or outdated; if so, please feel free to remove this section.

The article contains a link to James Phelan, who was said to have been ghostwriting a book about Noah Dietrich and who read the Clifford Irving manuscript. But the link leads to a disambiguation page which does not seem to include that particular James Phelan, or to a wikipedia page dealing with that James Phelan. If the link does not lead to an article about that James Phelan, it seems to serve no purpose and I think it would best be removed.69.105.28.164 19:25, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Publication of Hughes book?

An Amazon search reveals the Autobiography was published at some point. Should this be indicated? 136.159.160.1 (talk) 18:27, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

Billionaire or millionaire?

This article refers to Hughes as both a billionaire and a millionaire. Which is it?. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Subject Matter Expert Supreme (talkcontribs) 23:04, 21 April 2019 (UTC)
